Chocolate-Covered Pretzels

For a Wild twist on a classic sweet snack, try my Chocolate-Covered Pretzels - perfect for a lunchbox treat or a party table!

A chocolate-covered pretzel is the perfect salty-sweet, hits the spot kind of treat. While I don’t suggest that you make these every day - or even every week - I know that a classic sweet can go a long way around the holidays. So let’s make it count!

Because we’re Wildatarians, our Chocolate-Covered Pretzels are gluten free, use organic dark chocolate (rich in minerals and antioxidants + linked to a reduction in heart disease) versus milk chocolate (usually higher in sugar), and real sea salt (mineralizing + contains the essential mineral iodine).

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag FitJoy Grain Free Pretzels
  • 2 bars organic dark chocolate (I like Theo or Hu)
  • 1 tsp coarse sea salt

To Make:

-Break chocolate bars into quarter-sized pieces

-Melt chocolate pieces in a double boiler over medium-low heat. Remove from heat

(If you don’t have a double broiler, you can use a glass bowl over a pan of boiling water)

-While chocolate is still warm and malleable, dip pretzel twists into chocolate, then set on a prepared baking sheet

-When all pretzels are dipped in chocolate, sprinkle with sea salt, distributing crystals as evenly as possible
