My daughter has had a fish sensitivity for years. She usually gets nauseous then her stomach hurts when she eats fish. This week, while in Anguilla, we ate fish and fruit every day, that was our staple. She did not have any trouble at all with the fish.

The reason?

The fish had just come out of the water that day before being prepared and cooked. This made a big difference. My theory is that fresh, and I mean really fresh fish, contains the digestive enzymes needed to break down its protein. This fish paired with pineapple and other fresh fruits aid digestion. We are hoping that her body remembers this and that she will be able to eat fish here in the states without trouble.
